We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Responsible Individual to oversee and ensure the quality and compliance of our children’s home. The Responsible Individual will be accountable for the overall management and safeguarding standards, ensuring that the home operates in line with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
* Ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations and other relevant statutory requirements.
* Provide leadership and support to the Registered Manager and care team.
* Monitor the quality of care and services provided to children, ensuring their safety and wellbeing.
* Maintain effective communication with external agencies, families, and stakeholders.
* Regularly review policies, procedures, and care plans to ensure they meet current standards.
* Conduct visits and audits of the home to assess care quality and identify areas for improvement.
* Prepare reports for regulatory bodies and participate in inspections.
* Lead on safeguarding matters and ensure all staff are trained and competent in child protection.
Candidate Requirements
* Proven experience in a senior leadership role within residential childcare or a related setting.
* Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including Children’s Act and Ofsted regulations.
* Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
* A passion for improving the lives of children and young people.
* Relevant qualifications in social care, management, or related fields (Level 5 Diploma or equivalent preferred).
* Enhanced DBS check and eligibility to work in the UK.
