Our client, the largest independent used car dealership in the South-West region, is currently looking to recruit a Vehicle Technician to join their busy Vehicle Preparation Centre situated in Avonmouth.
Working as part of a team and reporting to the Site Leader, as a Vehicle Technician, you will be prepping, repairing and fixing our cars before they head to our client's Sales teams and ultimately to their customers. Responsibilities will include:
4. Carrying out fault diagnosis on engines, brakes, transmissions, fuel systems, etc.
5. Performing servicing and repairs on all makes and models of cars.
6. Rebuilding engines and refurbishing parts.
7. Working with our client's parts team and Pre-Delivery Vehicle Technicians to keep the flow of vehicles moving.
8. Identify potential hazards and monitor the condition of tools and machinery.
9. Adhere to high standards of health and safety.
To be eligible, you shall need to be qualified to at least an IMI/NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair, and ideally have at least one to two years practical experience as a Vehicle Technician, as well as your own set of tools. You will also need to hold a UK driving licence with minimal points, be a committed individual and be a good team player. You must be able to produce high-quality work in a busy but professional workshop environment and be motivated to work towards targets set for your team.
