They are looking for a Commercial Lawyer to support their team for 3 months.
Key purpose of the role: The key purpose of this role is to provide practical, business-focused legal support across their operations in the UK, EU, and internationally. You’ll work closely with multiple teams to manage legal risk and ensure commercial contracts and activities with both clients and suppliers align with regulatory requirements. This role plays a vital part in helping the business grow in a compliant and sustainable way. It requires a hands-on approach, sound judgement, desire to learn and the ability to give clear, solutions-driven legal advice.

* Work pattern: Full-time (5 days a week)
* Duration: 3 months
Key outcomes:
* Support the Legal Team with the negotiation and execution of client-facing documents (Pricing Agreements, amendments, termination notices, and NDAs)
* Support the Legal Team with the onboarding of suppliers and negotiate contracts with third-party suppliers and banking partners
* Handle daily ad-hoc queries from the Operations and Compliance Teams
* Assist with preparing presentations, guidance and training for the wider business in relation to services, business model and expansion
Key responsibilities:
* Provide general commercial legal support across all areas of the business
* Work closely with teams in the UK, EU and internationally to ensure legal consistency and compliance
* Support departments such as Sales, Customer Success, Compliance, Operations, Risk, Finance, Information Security, and Technology with legal advice
* Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts with clients, suppliers, and banking partners
* Help manage legal risk across the business, offering practical and balanced guidance
* Collaborate with Compliance and Risk teams to support adherence to regulatory obligations
* Assist in shaping internal policies and processes to align with legal and business goals
* Offer clear, solution-focused advice that supports both business growth and clients’ needs
* Build strong working relationships across departments to support day-to-day legal operations
* Stay informed on relevant legal and regulatory developments impacting the business in all operating regions
* Supporting the wider legal team to provide efficient and effective legal support to the business
* Ad hoc legal and regulatory tasks
Essential candidate characteristics:
* Experience within financial services and/or payments
* Experience working in-house in financial services

* Confident to manage own workload, coordinate with other members of the Legal team, act independently, and seek out information required to deliver successful outcomes
* Effective communication skills and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong multitasking, prioritisation, and organisational skills
