Job summary
Chelmer Medical Partnership has a fantastic opportunity for an experienced practice nurse to join our forward thinking practice a part-time basis, for a minimum of 20 hours per week,to work closely with a team of supportive and collaborative clinicians and ensure the greatest level of care is delivered to all our patients.
We are a 3 site practice in Chelmsford, formed from Humber Road Surgery, Melbourne House Surgery and Tennyson House Surgery and you will be required to work across these three sites.
Main duties of the job
1. Delivering exceptional levels of care to all patients.
2. Working autonomously and as part of a team.
3. Providing Flu vaccinations.
4. Providing cervical cytology.
5. Carrying out contraceptive reviews.
6. Providing immunisations.
7. Delivering wound care.
8. Management of asthma, diabetes and COPD would be of benefit and development to support this could be provided.

Qualifications
Essential
14. A relevant nursing degree.
15. Current NMC registration with an active PIN.
16. Fundamentals of Practice Nursing course (General Practice Nurse Foundation Programme) or equivalent experience or qualifications.
17. Competence to undertake asthma, COPD and diabetic clinics and reviews, holding relevant certificates.
Experience
Essential
18. Evidence of clinical skills and experience in treatment room consultation, recording, screening, management of long-term conditions, cervical cytology sampling, vaccinations and immunisations, assisting with minor surgery, dressing and wound care, and recording spirometry.
19. Compassionate manner with an empathetic approach and demonstrable kindness in all aspects of your work. The successful candidate will value the dignity of our patients, their relatives and carers, as well as their colleagues at the practice.
20. Knowledge, and experience of its application, in supporting long-term conditions.
21. Insight and understanding of current issues in nursing and the wider NHS.
