About the RoleCDM Principal Designer - Edinburgh required for a dedicated CDM and Health and Safety role within the construction sector. Based in Edinburgh, this position suits a professional with at least three years post qualification experience delivering Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015. The role focuses purely on CDM leadership rather than design management, taking responsibility for compliance across a varied project portfolio. You will initially be office based before moving to a hybrid arrangement, supporting project teams and embedding best practice across the business.
Key ResponsibilitiesProvide Principal Designer services across multiple construction projectsManage CDM 2015 compliance from inception to completionAdvise design teams on statutory duties and risk managementPrepare fee proposals and scope documentationDeliver internal CPD on Health and Safety legislationReport to senior management on compliance performance
Required Skills and ExperienceMinimum three years construction industry experienceProven delivery of Principal Designer duties under CDM 2015Background in architecture, technology or construction disciplinesStrong knowledge of Health and Safety legislationExperience mentoring colleagues and leading workshopsAPS, IOSH or NEBOSH qualification desirable
