Your new role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical or Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to develop your experience in a leadership role within an industrial environment, working with heavy plant and equipment. The role is for a maintenance shift team leader in the Bulk and Break Department.
You will:
 * work with the Engineering Manager, Supervisors, and Team Leaders to ensure on-time delivery, continuous flow, customer satisfaction, and zero defects;
 * be part of a rolling shift pattern, carrying out maintenance on heavy plant and equipment;
 * complete planned and reactive maintenance activities and carry out modifications to all types of heavy plant and equipment;
 * liaise with operations to prioritise breakdown repairs and use fault-finding diagnostic techniques and equipment to reduce the impact of reactive maintenance;
 * assist the management team in project work, QA systems, and Health and Safety as required.
It is vital that all activities are documented and carried out with due care and attention in line with Health and Safety policy and HSE regulations.
What you’ll need to succeed
• Qualified to a minimum of ONC/HNC or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience working with heavy plant and equipment in an industrial environment, ideally within Bulk Handling operations or similar.
• Extensive practical experience with relevant plant and equipment, including conveyor systems and rotating equipment.
• Ability to fault find and problem solve, utilising diagnostic equipment.
• Previous experience in a supervisory position and knowledge of DSEAR, LOLER, and PUWER is desirable.
• Strong experience in managing and supervising contractors.
• Commitment to maintaining the safety of team members and a good working knowledge of permit to work systems and accident reporting.
• A full valid Driving Licence is essential for this role.
