Job Title: CHP Assistant Reports to: CHP Manager / CHP Operations Lead Location: Energy Centres / District Heating Sites Pay: £17.63 - £23.67/hour About the Role: We are seeking a motivated CHP Assistant to join our team supporting the operation and maintenance of Combined Heat and Power (CHP) systems across our district heating network. You will work closely with engineers and managers to ensure safe, efficient, and compliant performance of CHP assets. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a mechanical or electrical interest to grow their experience in a dynamic energy environment. Key Responsibilities: Operational Support: Conduct daily and weekly checks of CHP engines and associated plant. Assist with parts collection and delivery. Provide 2nd man support during CHP service intervals. Maintain housekeeping within CHP enclosures and surrounding areas. Report any plant issues to the CHP Team promptly. Support hosting of external contractors, including AdBlue deliveries and SCR system maintenance.Maintenance Assistance: Perform basic tasks such as topping up engine oil and coolant levels. Assist with planned and reactive maintenance, including simple mechanical and electrical tasks. Prepare parts, tooling, and work areas for engineers.
