Broad Town CE Primary is a very small, friendly, village school on the outskirts of Royal Wootton Bassett, within easy reach of Swindon and the M4. We would like to recruit a positive, enthusiastic and experienced teacher with the knowledge and skills to teach a mixed age Reception / Year 1 class of just 12 children.
All about the role
This is an exciting opportunity to teach a mixed-age class, combining the wonder and curiosity of the Early Years Foundation Stage with the growing independence of Key Stage 1.
The successful candidate will
* Deliver engaging, inclusive lessons that meet the needs of both Reception (EYFS) and KS1 pupils.
* Create a nurturing, stimulating classroom environment where every child thrives.
* Plan creatively across the EYFS and National Curriculum frameworks.
* Use effective assessment strategies to support progress and attainment.
* Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff and parents to ensure the best outcomes for all children.
We Are Looking for Someone Who:
* Is a qualified teacher (QTS) with experience in EYFS and Key Stage 1.
* Has a strong understanding of early child development and phonics.
* Is reflective, organised and committed to high standards of teaching and learning.
* Brings energy, warmth and a genuine love of working with young children.
* Values teamwork and contributes positively to school life.
* Interest and experience in outdoor learning and forest school.
