Civil Design Engineer – Highways & Drainage

The Role
You’ll be joining a well-established civil engineering team delivering infrastructure design from concept through to detailed stages. Typical responsibilities include:
* Designing highways, junctions, access roads and public realm layouts
* Delivering drainage designs, including SuDS, foul and surface water systems
* Preparing designs for Section 278, 38, 104 and 106 submissions
* Working with Civil 3D, MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage and related software
* Producing drawings, reports, specifications and technical calculations
* Supporting senior engineers and liaising directly with clients, architects and local authorities
* Contributing to project planning, design review meetings and technical approvals

What We’re Looking For
* 2–5+ years’ experience in civil/infrastructure design
* Background in highways and/or drainage design
* Strong working knowledge of Civil 3D and MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage
* Understanding of UK design standards (DMRB, MfS, SuDS etc.)
* Experience producing drawings and technical documentation
* Enthusiasm for progression and chartership development
