Quantity Surveyor Opportunities
As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. We have opportunities for Quantity Surveyors to work on a wide range of projects. As a Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be at the heart of some of the UK’s most critical defence infrastructure projects. Whether you’re early in your career or bringing years of experience, this is your opportunity to contribute to national security while growing professionally. You’ll help ensure commercial excellence across high-impact contracts, supporting projects that protect our nation and contribute to global peacekeeping efforts.
What you’ll do:
1. Driving strategic cost planning by developing robust pre-tender estimates and evaluating design alternatives.
2. Delivering insightful financial reporting to support project and client decision-making.
3. Shaping project budgets in collaboration with subcontractors and internal teams.
4. Supporting high-stakes contract negotiations to secure favourable commercial outcomes.
5. Monitoring financial performance and recommending corrective actions to maintain profitability.
What you’ll need:
6. Relevant degree or equivalent experience in quantity surveying or a related discipline.
7. Professional membership or accreditation (e.g., RICS) is advantageous but not essential.
8. Strong knowledge of building and construction practices.
9. Experience with Ministry of Defence (MOD) contracts.
10. Proficiency in NEC3 or NEC4 contract frameworks.
11. Background in project management.
12. Specialism in a relevant field such as Civils, Building, Mechanical or Electrical.
13. A drive to own and shape your career development journey.
