Overview
The successful candidate will be at the forefront of the Private Client team, delivering bespoke tax consultancy services to a discerning clientele. This pivotal role involves managing a diverse portfolio of HNWI clients, ensuring that their wealth planning needs are met with precision and care.
Responsibilities
* Provide a range of tax services, managing a private client portfolio, specialising in personal tax across a mix of compliance and advisory work
* Identify tax sensitive expenditure and wider tax issues
* Liaise with clients to resolve queries
* Communicate with internal departments to ensure deadlines are met, and oversee client portfolios to ensure HMRC deadlines are met
* Assist in managing the Private Client Tax team by hearing the voice of your team members, conduct appraisals, provide coaching of assignments to support the development of team skills and knowledge and continually improve the quality and delivery of work
* Monitor your own utilisation, productivity and WIP
* Confidently provide guidance and feedback to others in the team
Profile
Desired Skills And Experience
* Private Tax Expertise: Comprehensive knowledge in Inheritance Tax (IHT), Trusts, Capital Gains Tax (CGT), and related areas
* Client Management: Proven experience in advising high net worth individuals on personal tax and wealth planning
* Commercial Acumen: Strong understanding of the private tax landscape and its alignment with client business objectives
* Business Development: Demonstrated ability to cultivate and manage a robust portfolio of clients
* International Taxation: Familiarity with international personal tax matters, including residence and domicile considerations
* Sector Knowledge: In-depth understanding of tax implications for various sectors, including landowners and rural businesses
