Ledbury Welding and Engineering is one of the UK's leading bulk fuel manufacturers, supplying major supermarket chains with modular filling stations and providing bulk fuel storage facilities for hauliers and coach companies.
For the right candidate, this could lead to a permanent position supporting the Technical Manager.
The Tech Support Role Will Entail
* Shadowing our Technical Manager, who progressed through the apprenticeship route
* Reading and completing technical drawings
* Liaising with departments such as Sales, Accounts, Production, and Installation
* Performing administrative tasks
Formal training is delivered at HWGTA, located in Hereford (HR4 9SX) or Worcester (WR4 9GN). The Level 3 program comprises approximately 40-45 months, including:
1. Years 1/2: Off-the-job training at HWGTA and on-site training, including 26-42 weeks at the training centre and weekly classroom sessions, culminating in an EAL Level 3 Diploma in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering - Development Knowledge.
2. Years 3/4: Full-time in-company training to develop skills in preparation for the end-point assessment to gain Level 3 qualification.
You will receive monthly visits from your Learning and Development Specialist, who will monitor your progress and wellbeing, set work, and prepare you for assessments. Additional training for English and Maths will be provided if needed. A five-day team-building residential trip is held each spring for all apprentices.
Working hours are Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 16:30, Friday 08:00 - 15:30, with a half-hour unpaid lunch break and paid coffee breaks mid-morning.
