In this role, as a Principal Transport Engineer, you'll Lead cutting-edge projects in active travel, streets design, and traffic engineering Contribute to innovative solutions for cycle priority and traffic signal design Apply and evolve best practices in urban transport planning Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver sustainable mobility solutions Here's what you'll need To be degree qualified (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline (Engineering) and have achieved or be working towards a relevant professional accreditation e.g. CEng or CTPP. Experience in the Traffic Engineering field with the ability to contribute to the success of a range of high profile transport projects, particularly in an urban environment and with experience in cycle priority and traffic signal design desirable. Experience in applying design standards, that may include the Designing Streets, Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, Cycling by Design or Local Authority Street Design guidance. Technical aptitude and experience in design and modelling software packages particularly AutoCad and LinSig. To be able to competently liaise and communicate with clients and manage tasks using appropriate program, budget and quality controls. This role can be based on a Hybrid basis from either our Glasgow or Edinburgh offices.
