We are currently recruiting for a Day Technician for our Decorator Area in our Days Engineering Team
Salary - £52,045 per annum
Hours of work: Monday to Thursday 7.00am to 3.30pm, Fridays 7.00am to 3.00pm
As a member of the Engineering team, the purpose of this role is to perform troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on production equipment. You will perform various manual or mechanical functions by operating, adjusting, and repairing high-speed production equipment to meet customer specifications.
Key responsibilities:
1. Develop safe working practices for routine and non-routine tasks
2. Develop and control the Apriso system - completing assigned work orders in the agreed time frames
3. Identify and rectify process performance issues
4. Conduct daily routine checks for plant and production equipment
5. Continuously monitor equipment condition
6. Carry out routine and planned overhauls
7. Perform planned and ad hoc maintenance, including height/diameter changes
8. Implement mechanical improvements in the process
9. Support trials and new equipment installation and commissioning
10. Monitor spare parts inventory
11. Rebuild unit spares as required
12. Train and support personnel
13. Provide shift support/cover when required
14. Perform turning, milling, and grinding work when necessary
15. Operate FLT when required
Qualifications:
* Time-served Apprenticeship in Engineering/Mechanical discipline or equivalent experience
* HND/HNC or equivalent is desirable
* Electrical qualification is an advantage
* FLT license or willingness to train
