Supplier Relationship Manager
Hybrid working with up to 4 days per week working from home
Locations: Salford Quays, Manchester or Kirkstall Forge, Leeds
Permanent, Full‑time 37.5 hours per week
Salary £52K – £65K per annum, plus 10% Management Bonus Scheme

Job Description
Working in our UK support functions you'll play a key part in helping our customer‑facing colleagues deliver exceptional standards of customer service and patient care. No matter your role, you'll have an opportunity to do work that matters.
Responsibilities
* Onboard suppliers after contract award and manage them against the Supplier Management Framework.
* Lead governance review meetings with strategic suppliers to assess performance against SLA, cost reductions, continuous improvement opportunities and service quality.
* Own and manage supplier risk, undertaking due diligence and assurance reviews, resolving operational incidents and driving root‑cause analysis.
* Develop the category strategy, collaborating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive innovation, efficiencies and business development.
* Lead internal reviews to identify business needs, produce relationship development plans and prioritize continuous improvement in service, cost, risk and flexibility.
* Create remedy action plans for poor performance and manage them to successful conclusion.
* Conduct market scanning and benchmarking to monitor supply dynamics and inform category strategy.
* Provide regular management information reports to stakeholders and the Accountable Executive.
Key Skills / Qualifications
* Experience in contract supplier management.
* Experience managing suppliers in line with FCA (SYSC 8/13) and PRA rulebook.
* Experience in supplier assurance and audit.
* Knowledge of outsourced Service Providers.
* Strong supply chain process knowledge and improvement techniques.
* Professional procurement or risk management qualifications.
* Deep understanding of risk management frameworks and compliance activities.
* Experience drafting contract terms and conditions.
* Strong commercial awareness and value‑based delivery record.
* Excellent risk communication and impact assessment skills.
* Analytical, problem‑solving and decision‑making abilities.
* Effective complex communication across all levels.
* Strong negotiation skills.
* Ability to build relationships at all levels.
* Practical understanding of regulatory environment.
