Automation Technicians
to join their engineering team at a large-scale, highly automated site in Essex. Working as part of a team responsible for the maintenance and performance of
mission-critical automated equipment, this role offers a strong salary package, structured shifts, and excellent long-term development potential. Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and maintain
automated machinery, including PLCs, drives, and control systems
Monitor equipment performance and drive continuous improvement initiatives
Assist with software backups, version control, and documentation for all automation systems
Support the delivery and commissioning of new equipment and upgrades
Liaise with suppliers to resolve technical issues and optimise system reliability
Provide guidance and technical training to junior team members
Ensure health & safety compliance and assist with RAMS documentation

Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Electrical or electronic qualification (Level 3 or above)
Strong experience with
PLC fault-finding, modifications or programming
(e.g. Siemens, Allen Bradley, Rockwell)
Knowledge of
inverters, drives, motors, and industrial control panels
Willingness to work
at height and outdoors
in a physically active role
Valid UK driving licence
Ability to pass a medical (candidates must be under 130kg due to equipment safety requirements)
