The company supplies high-quality products and operates a fast-paced, high-volume manufacturing facility. The business is now seeking an experienced Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to support operations on site. This is a key role within the Engineering team, responsible for maintaining and improving the performance of production machinery, ensuring minimal downtime, and supporting the overall efficiency of the manufacturing process. The Role The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering both preventative and reactive maintenance across a range of converting equipment. Working closely with Production and Operations teams, the Mechanical Maintenance Engineer will ensure machinery is operating safely, efficiently, and reliably. Key Responsibilities * Carry out planned preventative maintenance across all production equipment * Respond to breakdowns quickly and effectively to minimise downtime * Diagnose and repair mechanical faults on a range of machinery * Work on key equipment including rewinders, lop saws, wrappers, baggers, and core-making machinery * Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance machine reliability and performance * Ensure all maintenance work is completed in line with health & safety regulations * Maintain accurate maintenance records and update internal syst...
