Location: PeterboroughDepartment: EngineeringReports to: Maintenance Manager About the Role We are looking for a skilled and proactive Multi Skilled Engineer to join our Engineering team in Peterborough. This is a hands-on role focused on maintaining and improving plant, equipment, and site services to ensure efficient, safe, and reliable operations. You’ll play a key part in minimising downtime, supporting production, and driving continuous improvement across the site. Shift Pattern Monday to Friday Rotating shift pattern:2 weeks: 06:00 – 14:00 2 weeks: 14:00 – 06:00 What You’ll Be Doing Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to support efficient production Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults quickly and effectively Support line changeovers and equipment set-ups in line with production requirements Install, commission, and improve plant and equipment to company standards Work closely with Production to minimise downtime and maximise output Maintain plant in line with health, safety, and environmental standards Support and deliver engineering projects within agreed timelines and budgets Maintain plant rooms and support systems (e.g. water treatment) where trained Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement and efficiency gains Promote environmentally responsible working practices (e.g. waste reduction, recycling) Maintain high standards of housekeeping across all engineering areas What We’re Looking For Skills & Experience Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment Knowledge of PPM systems and maintenance planning Experience with line changeovers, set-ups, and production support A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement Desirable Skills Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and packaging equipment Welding (TIG, MIG, ARC) and fabrication skills Knowledge of refrigeration systems, boilers, and water treatment Electrical qualifications (e.g. 18th Edition) Experience with gearbox or pump rebuilding Relevant certifications (e.g. First Aid, scissor lift, ammonia handling) We’re looking for someone who: Takes ownership of their work and delivers high standards Demonstrates a strong focus on safety and compliance Embraces continuous improvement and change Works collaboratively to support production and team goals Contributes positively to a culture of quality and accountability Why Join Us?
