The Energy Redress Project - RESET will be delivered in partnership with Citizens Advice services across southern Devon and has been designed to provide sustained, multi-session support to the most vulnerable energy consumers—people who need more than just one-off advice. Our aim is to empower clients to better manage their energy usage, reduce bills, access grants and support, and ultimately live in warmer, safer homes. Working collaboratively with our partner organisations, we will create effective referral routes, avoid duplication of effort, and contribute to reducing fuel poverty across our region.
This is an energy adviser role – you will be delivering telephone advice on a wide range of energy-related issues including tariffs, switching, energy debts, grants, billing, and metering. You’ll conduct telephone appointments using sensitive listening and questioning skills to allow the clients to explain their problem. The initial support focuses on urgent needs, including crisis intervention and income maximisation. The role is 37 hours a week (09.00 – 17.00 Monday-Thursday and 09.00 – 16.30 on Fridays) on a permanent basis. We are happy to discuss part-time and flexible working arrangements with prospective applicants. This role will be on our standard hybrid contract after training.
The start date will be in July or August 2025, depending on notice periods.
Training: Full training will be provided, which involves the Citizens Advice national energy adviser training and Level 3 City & Guilds in Energy Awareness.
