A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join a market-leading organisation as a Category Data Support Specialist, based at the UK Head Office in Manchester. This dynamic role sits within the Category team, which plays a pivotal part in optimising the performance of product groups in the marketplace. The teams work spans analysing sales data (such as EPOS), tracking consumer behaviour, and monitoring competitor activityall of which help drive key strategic decisions across pricing, promotion, product placement, and more. Youll report directly to the Category Manager and serve as a crucial link between data and execution. Whether it's updating internal dashboards, assisting the sales team with administrative support, or capturing real-world in-store activity, your contributions will help ensure seamless category performance and continuous improvement. Key Duties & Responsibilities Maintain EPOS and category data to ensure consistency and correct formatting across reporting platforms Update product segmentation for new SKUs and ensure dashboards reflect the latest sales/category insights Assist Sales with new line forms and other admin tasks that support customer engagement Conduct regular store visits to observe promotional activity, monitor shelf space, and track new listings Collaborate closely with Sales, Marketing, and Data teams to ensure alignment and effective communication Support broader category projects through data analysis and insight generation Skills & Experience Required Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational and time-management skills Ability to work independently, multitask, and prioritise a varied workload Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel Experience in administrative or data-focused roles (desirable) Knowledge of Power BI is a plus, but not essential Effective communicator with a collaborative approach Enthusiastic about commercial insight and category performance Educational Background A degree is not essential, but qualifications in the following subjects may be advantageous: Business Administration Supply Chain / Logistics Retail Management Marketing Economics Data / Information Management This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career within a fast-paced, commercially driven environment.
