This ongoing locum position offers the flexibility of full-time or part-time hours and plays a key role in delivering high-quality, outcome-driven services to children and families within Children's Services. You will be responsible for supervising staff, ensuring the quality and consistency of assessments and reports, and fostering strong multi-agency working relationships. This role is ideal for a confident practitioner with a strong knowledge of the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014 and a commitment to improving outcomes for families. Key Responsibilities Ensure the quality of Child Protection reports, parenting assessments, and Court reports. Deliver timely and effective social care interventions for children in need. Provide supervision and professional support to team members. Offer expert guidance to social workers and contribute to a high standard of practice. Work collaboratively with external agencies to ensure coordinated care. Maintain compliance with the Social Services and Well-being (Wales) Act 2014. Essential Requirements Degree in Social Work or equivalent qualification (e.g. DipSW, CQSW). Registered with Social Care Wales. Substantial post-qualification experience within children's social services. Demonstrated ability to manage complex cases and supervise other practitioners.
