Job type: Full time, permanent Location: Cranbrook Salary: £45,000 p/a Benefits: Company vehicle, tools and uniform provided, ongoing training and development opportunities, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension scheme Key Responsibilities: Install, commission, and test new coffee and vending machines on customer sites, ensuring full functionality before handover. Diagnose and repair faults on bean-to-cup, instant, and vending systems to minimise downtime and maintain peak performance. Carry out planned preventative maintenance and deep cleans to improve reliability and drink quality. Replace or refurbish worn or faulty parts, including grinders, boilers, valves, pumps, and electronic components. Use multimeters, diagnostic tools, and technical manuals to perform accurate electrical and mechanical testing. Work to strict safety standards, completing all tasks in line with company procedures and health & safety legislation. Log all service activity accurately via mobile devices to maintain up-to-date maintenance and service records. Monitor and manage van stock efficiently, ordering spare parts proactively to ensure quick repairs. Deliver clear, professional technical support and advice to customers, ensuring satisfaction and repeat business. Cover assigned regional areas efficiently, providing responsive on-site support when callouts arise. Skills, Experience, and Training Requirements: Proven experience maintaining and repairing commercial coffee or vending equipment. Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills with hands-on experience. Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and machine schematics confidently. Excellent problem-solving and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload. Clear communication and customer service skills, with a professional and approachable manner. Full UK driving licence (essential). Previous experience as a field service engineer, vending engineer, or appliance technician. Relevant electrical or mechanical qualification preferred (e.g. City & Guilds, NVQ).
