Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support children in Key Stage 1 at a welcoming and inclusive primary school in the L18 area of Liverpool. This role will involve working on a 1:1 basis, supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to help them reach their full potential in a nurturing environment.
The Role:
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for:
Supporting children with a range of additional needs, such as autism, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health challenges.
Able to effectivley support students that may demonstrate challenging behaviour
Adapting learning materials and activities to suit individual needs.
Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to implement personalised support plans.
Encouraging social and emotional development and promoting positive behaviour.
What We're Looking For:
To be successful in this role, candidates must have:
A Level 2 (or higher) Teaching Assistant qualification.
Previous experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a primary school setting.
A good understanding of the needs of primary-aged children and how to support them effectively.
Excellent communication skills, patience, and a caring nature.
