Salary: £33,809 – £46,603
Overview
We are seeking a full‑time, permanent Assessor (Apprentice Skills Coach) in Engineering. The role requires you to deliver training, assess and quality‑assure work‑based learning programmes, supporting the college’s Apprenticeship Strategy and enhancing learner outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver and facilitate engineering training for apprentices.
* Assess learner performance and provide constructive feedback.
* Quality‑assure the delivery of work‑based learning programmes.
* Work with employers and internal stakeholders to maximise learning opportunities.
* Support the continuous improvement of apprenticeship provision.
Required Qualifications & Experience
* NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (preferably mechanical).
* Hands‑on experience or working knowledge of traditional and CNC machining.
* Sound understanding of inspection, quality control and office‑based engineering roles.
* Minimum Level 2 literacy and numeracy.
* Strong communication skills, resilience and a genuine passion for improving learners’ lives.
