Chesham and Amersham Squadron is looking for a dedicated Volunteer Civilian Aviation Instructor to support the training and development of our cadets in all things aviation. This is a rewarding opportunity to share your knowledge, inspire the next generation, and play a key role in delivering the RAF Air Cadets’ unique aviation-focused curriculum.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver engaging and informative lessons on aviation topics such as the principles of flight, aircraft operations, meteorology, and navigation.
* Support cadets through academic training and preparation for classification exams.
* Assist in organising and running activities, including visits and practical sessions.
* Promote the values and ethos of the RAF Air Cadets while fostering a love for aviation.
* Work collaboratively with the Squadron's training team to maintain a high standard of instruction.
What We’re Looking For:
* A passion for aviation and youth development.
* Good communication and presentation skills.
* Prior teaching or aviation experience is not required—training will be provided.
* Reliability, enthusiasm, and a team-oriented mindset.
* Willingness to undergo the required background checks and volunteer training.
