This is a brilliant role for someone who naturally takes ownership, communicates confidently with stakeholders, and genuinely likes bringing order to busy project environments. You’ll be based primarily in **Warrington**, with **hybrid, part-time and flexible working** available — and a requirement to be in the office **2 days per week**. **What you’ll be doing*** Supporting Project Managers to deliver projects **on time and within budget*** Setting up projects, managing **close-out and reconciliations*** Ensuring accurate **cost allocation** and maintaining clean project financials* Producing **cost forecasts** and meaningful financial analysis (not just reporting)* Monitoring **revenue, gross margin** and project performance against expectations* Keeping corporate systems accurate and reflective of real project status* Tracking **aged debt** and supporting recovery actions where needed* Preparing **client monthly reports** and internal packs for Operational Project Reviews* Contributing to monthly project meetings and supporting **bids/proposals*** Helping with wider project controls such as and resource monitoring**What you’ll bring*** A positive, proactive, **can-do** mindset with the confidence to take ownership* Strong stakeholder skills — able to challenge constructively and build trust* High confidence in **Excel** (formulas, lookups, pivot tables, data validation)* A sharp eye for detail and a knack for creating clarity from complexity If you’re a Cost Engineer who enjoys being the person that brings control, insight and calm to a project team, **apply now** or message me for a quick, confidential chat.
