Sandwell Adult Social Care is seeking a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our newly established Moving and Handling Team. Your new role
As a Senior Occupational Therapist, you will:
Assess and recommend specialist equipment and adaptations to meet complex needs.
Apply up-to-date moving and handling techniques to reduce carer handling safely.
Work collaboratively with individuals, caregivers, and professionals to promote independence.What you'll need to succeed
We welcome applications from experienced Occupational Therapists with a passion for moving and handling. You will need:
A degree (or equivalent) in Occupational Therapy.
Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Proven experience in conducting proportionate assessments and recommending appropriate equipment/adaptations.
Strong understanding of health and social care legislation.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
A valid driving licence and the ability to travel across the Borough (reasonable adjustments will be considered for applicants with disabilities).What you'll get in return
