This Associate Scientist – Antibody Validation role contributes to Abcam’s Antibody Product Portfolio expansion by validating and characterizing new antibodies.
The position reports to the Team Leader of Immunocytochemistry and Flow Cytometry, is part of the Validation Team located in Cambridge, and is an on‑site role.
In This Role, You Will Have The Opportunity To
* Designing and executing Flow Cytometry experiments.
* As an experienced scientist, contribute to ideas and establishment of protocol and protocol improvements; be proactive in validation, optimization, documentation, and take responsibility for validating new assay protocols and their integration into standard work streams.
* Actively seek to improve testing conditions for individual antibody products and product groups to best demonstrate their performance.
The Essential Requirements Of The Job Include
* PhD in a life sciences field or an MSc and multiple years of experience in industry.
* Experience using antibodies for Flow Cytometry on cell lines and primary immune cells (murine or human) with a firm understanding of principles, literature, and methods of the technique.
* Excellent organizational skills, prioritization, multitasking, and ability to meet deadlines.
* Ability to facilitate open and constructive communication within the team and with other teams worldwide.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in
* Immunocytochemistry.
