The Role As an Architectural Technologist, you will be involved in all stages of the design and construction process, working closely with designers, clients, and construction teams. Key Responsibilities: Assessing client requirements and planning workloads Preparing designs using CAD software and traditional drawing methods Producing detailed drawings, plans, and documents for statutory approvals Coordinating and collating technical building information Checking construction drawings for design and compliance issues Advising on building regulations, environmental, and legal requirements Making site visits and inspecting works on site Monitoring designs for health and safety compliance and contributing to risk assessments Preparing specifications and tender documentation Liaising with contractors and consultants throughout the project lifecycle Researching new building technologies, legislation, and design processesSkills & Experience: Strong understanding of building technology and construction methods Excellent attention to detail with a keen eye for design Good communication and teamwork skills Ability to manage workload independently and use initiative Strong organisational and problem-solving skills Confident computer skills and technical proficiency Freehand drawing ability Strong mathematical and analytical skillsSoftware knowledge desirable: Revit AutoCAD SketchUp Photoshop InDesign Microsoft OfficeWorking Environment: The role will involve a mix of office-based work, site visits, and occasional client-facing work.
