The Trust is seeking to appoint an enthusiastic consultant psychiatrist to join the CAMHS Service in the Truro Area. The post holder will provide clinical leadership to the CAMHS Team and contribute to the assessment and therapeutic needs of children, young people, and their families in various settings. They will work collaboratively with team members to plan and deliver tailored treatment plans.
This position is part of the leadership team within the service and involves providing support and supervision to other team members. The post holder will be part of a clinical team offering specialist psychiatric advice to the multidisciplinary team. There is potential to support medical trainees and advanced clinical practitioners, under supervision.
The post-holder, along with senior members of the CAMHS Team in Truro, will ensure effective communication with referring and receiving teams across the Trust and with primary care. Where appropriate, they will join therapy sessions in complex cases. While primarily responsible for delivering high-quality clinical services, the Consultant psychiatrist will also be involved in strategic development of the team and broader services, collaborating with the service manager to align with the organisation's strategic goals.
The successful candidate will develop a personal development plan for lifelong learning. Opportunities for further qualifications, research, or involvement in the transformation program are available for new appointees.
