Who are you?
15. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
16. Previous experience working as an HGV Technician (Volvo experience is a plus but not essential)
17. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
18. A proactive attitude with a focus on customer service and safety
19. A full UK driving licence (HGV licence preferred but not essential)
What will you be doing
20. Ensure repairs are carried out according to manufacturer’s procedures, safely and responsibly
21. Ensure repairs are carried out in accordance with Volvo Standard Times using Volvo Special Tools where appropriate
22. Assist in the fault diagnosis process
23. Comply with warranty procedures during repairs and warranty material on completion of each repair
24. Work with the Parts Team to ensure the correct replacement parts are fitted
25. Road test vehicles when required (if you hold an HGV licence)
26. Assist with roadside breakdowns
27. Ensure company time recording procedures are complied with, and that job cards are completed accurately
28. Ensure service sheets are completed as per Volvo instructions
29. Ensure all vehicle defects are reported to workshop controllers
30. Keep all workshop facilities, equipment and tools clean, tidy and well maintained
31. Wear personal protective equipment when appropriate
32. Support the development of young trainees and apprentices
