Financial Controller - Nottingham - £75,000 + hybrid working (4 days on-site) + flex start and finish times
We are working exclusively with an innovative International organisation who are looking for a Financial Controller to play a key role within their organisation. If you are a commercially minded finance leader with a passion for accuracy, controls and team development then this role could be perfect for you.
This is a high-impact role with real ownership of the financial control environment, statutory reporting and the end-to-end planning cycle across multiple entities. You’ll lead a motivated finance team and drive continuous improvement across systems, processes and reporting, ensuring the business remains compliant and well-positioned for future growth.
What you’ll be doing
Owning the integrity and accuracy of the company’s financial accounting systems
Leading Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Credit Control and cash management
Overseeing budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning
Preparing statutory accounts and managing the audit process across all countries of operation
Ensuring full compliance with VAT, Customs and other statutory reporting requirements
Producing monthly management accounts and board packs
Reviewing and strengthening financial controls and procedures
Coaching and developing the finance team to deliver high performance
Presenting financial insight to the Senior Leadership Team and Board
About you
Fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
Track record in financial control, statutory reporting and audit
Strong team leadership and people development skills
Excellent understanding of financial planning, cashflow and controls
Advanced IT skills and comfortable working in a dynamic, growing environment
Confident communicator who can influence at senior levels
Knowledge of safeguarding (or willingness to develop this as part of the role)
