As an Electrical Technician, you will:
* Be a key player in the electrical build, wiring & electrical testing, special purpose automation.
* Work within our Production team, gaining exposure to manufacturing teams and the wider operations team.
Core Functions & Obligations
* Wire machines, sub-assemblies, and control panels according to Mpac schematics and documentation.
* Collaborate with Senior Electrical Technicians, Supervisors, Managers, and project teams to resolve issues and deliver projects effectively.
* Accurately log work hours and rework/non-value time.
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
* Participate in machine installations and setup in the UK or abroad.
* Support apprentice development.
* Demonstrate respect, integrity, trust, and excellence in interactions with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.
* Be flexible to undertake tasks beyond immediate responsibilities when needed.
Core Deliverables / Outputs
* Deliver electrical builds on time, within budget, and to Mpac standards.
* Work safely at all times.
* Uphold Mpac values.
What We Are Looking For
* Ability to work independently or as part of a multi-technical team.
* Experience in electrical engineering environments.
* Experience with electrical/automation machinery and fault finding.
* Good understanding of low voltage systems, analogue and digital I/O, and automation systems.
* Proficiency with schematics and problem-solving skills.
* Solid IT skills for shop floor computer use.
* Ability to read and interpret technical and electrical schematics.
* ONC / BTEC / City and Guilds in electrical/mechatronic engineering.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Desirables (Not Necessities)
* Experience with pneumatic/electro-pneumatic equipment installations.
* Knowledge of EMC screening, earthing, and bonding for machinery.
* Basic PLC programming understanding.
