Precast Formwork Carpenter

Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the accurate fabrication and preparation of plywood and steel formwork to ensure high-quality precast concrete panels. Your day-to-day duties will include :
* Fabricating plywood formwork to architectural and dimensional specs.
* Ensuring all joins are seamless and finishes are smooth.
* Coordinating with engineers on steel formwork requirements.
* Verifying steel formwork availability and accuracy.
* Overseeing deck preparation and layout using shop drawings.
* Squaring panels and checking all measurements (±2mm tolerance).
* Applying silicone sealant, form release, and retarder (if specified).
* Overseeing placement of reinforcing steel cages, chairs, and cast-in items.
* Coordinating pre-pour inspections and assisting with concrete pours.
* Supervising stripping and cleaning of formwork post-pour.
Completing any other tasks as delegated by the Foreman / Manager, including cross-divisional assignments as needed.
What We’re Looking For
* Proven experience in precast or formwork carpentry.
* Ability to read and interpret technical / shop drawings.
* Strong eye for detail and commitment to quality control.
* Physically fit and capable of handling hands-on, on-site work.
A team player with good communication and problem-solving skills.
Bonus If You Have
* Experience working with magnetic formwork systems.
* Familiarity with concrete placement and finishing techniques.
* Knowledge of construction safety standards and procedures.
