Overview

The Allocations Team is looking for an Allocations Assistant who is motivated, flexible, and able to innovate within a fast‑paced, vibrant team. As an Allocations Assistant you will assist in the administration of the Council’s waiting list for social housing in line with the Council’s Allocations Policy, procedures and the Housing (Wales) Act 2014. You will be the single point of contact for applicants, agencies and Local Members, communicating and answering queries over the telephone, by email, letter and managing reception duties while dealing with face‑to‑face enquiries. You will report directly to the Allocations Team Leader and be required to support the Team Leader in delivering services and projects in line with key corporate strategies.


Responsibilities

* Assist in the administration of the Council’s waiting list for social housing.
* Act as the single point of contact for applicants, agencies and Local Members.
* Communicate and answer queries over telephone, email, letter and face‑to‑face enquiries.
* Manage reception duties.
* Support the Allocations Team Leader in delivering services and projects.
