Alison Gray Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting for an immediate Accounts Payable Administrator for our client a leading menswear brand house in Carrickfergus, to join their busy team. Location: Carrickfergus Pay Rate: £14.36 per hour Contract Length: Mid January 2026 Hours: Monday - Thursday 8:30am - 5pm & Friday 8:30am - 3:30pm Duties & Responsibilities: Enter and process purchase invoices, ensuring accuracy, correct cost centre allocation, and timely payments. Verify invoice amounts, calculations, goods received, and prices against purchase orders; raise debit notes for discrepancies. Maintain purchase ledger efficiency, landed costing analysis, and ancillary records. Handle supplier queries and keep filing up to date for easy traceability. Input daily sales figures, reconcile shop receipts with bank accounts, and produce daily/weekly sales reports. Manage electronic banking, monthly credit card postings, and cheque runs. Prepare commission letters, marketing/advertising expense reports, and sales representative expense reports. Support management with weekly turnover reports, letters of guarantee, and cost-cutting reviews. Assist with biannual stocktakes and implement administrative controls as required. Input customer orders, update product prices, sales, and stock data for consignment shops; process stock adjustments. Handle outgoing post, sales orders, and customer account correspondence. Provide reception cover, manage customer communications, and support senior management with administrative tasks. Personal Attributes: Have a minimum of 2 years administrative experience. Be computer literate. Previous administrative experience within a commercial business. Intermediate Microsoft Excel user. Experience with accounting software packages. Previous experience within the Purchase Ledger function. Experience of dealing with a busy reception I switchboard. Advanced Microsoft Excel user. Excellent numerical analytical skills and an attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Computer literate in Microsoft Office Software or similar.
