Package: £49,480 - £65,000 (depending on your suitability, qualifications & level of experience)

Role focus: This role supports the Warhead Engineering team. It is ideal for someone with a strong technical background who thrives in complex, high-integrity environments — from system integration to safety and security-critical projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Leading the design, integration, and testing of electrical/electronic systems
* Delivering engineering solutions across the full lifecycle, ensuring safety and performance standards
* Driving technical delivery, continuous improvement, and innovation
* Managing stakeholders and mentoring multidisciplinary teams
* Presenting technical findings to internal and external audiences
Due to the classified nature of our work, this role is primarily site-based at AWE.
What We’re Looking For
* Essential: HNC/HND, NVQ Level 5, or degree in a science/engineering discipline — or equivalent experience
* Proven experience in leading technical projects and teams
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
* Excellent communication and people management abilities
* Ability to plan and deliver multiple objectives concurrently

* Engineering delivery across safety-critical programmes
* Cost-saving and efficiency improvement initiatives
* Effective stakeholder engagement and influence
* Coaching and developing others within multidisciplinary teams

Other information: You must be willing and able to obtain and maintain the security clearance required for the role. Travel within the UK and overseas may be required. There are limited opportunities to work from home; the successful candidate will spend the majority of time on site at AWE.
