NHSE Workforce Training and Education Directorate (WT&E) is looking to recruit a Dental Training Programme Director for the 24‑month Dental Foundation Training (DFT) scheme that will run until 31 March 2027 in the East of England. The Director will work as part of the regional East of England team and will carry out practice visits across the region, both in person and remotely.
Key responsibilities
* Monitor the professional development of Foundation Dentists on the 24‑month DFT scheme and report progress to the regional Associate Dean for Foundation.
* Ensure quality management processes conform to national guidance.
* Plan and organise an allocated study‑day programme for the 24‑month DFT scheme.
* Collaborate with Associate Deans for Workforce and Foundation to deliver recommendations for the NHSE Dental Education reform programme (DERP) and quality management of early‑years dental education in the East of England.
* Support the region’s strategic objectives to improve patient care, reduce health inequalities and optimise the use of digital technology, research and innovation within dental education.
Additional information
