We're looking for a skilled and motivated CNC Machinist to join a high-performing team at our client based in Leeds. This role is key to supporting our manufacturing operations, including programming, setting up, and operating CNC machinery, as well as contributing to engineering activities and prototype development. Key Responsibilities As a CNC Machinist, you will: Safely operate CNC machines, ancillary equipment, and CMM measuring tools Interpret technical drawings and work instructions with precision Support document updates and routine programming tasks Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives to enhance lead times and product value Perform minor equipment maintenance and asset care routines Collaborate across teams to ensure effective communication and workflow Train colleagues on machinery and potentially support training at other sites Maintain compliance with cGMP, internal quality systems, and health & safety standards Champion 6S practices and maintain a clean, safe working environment Qualifications & Experience Recognised qualifications or proven experience in CNC machining (Fanuc, Mazatrol, Heidenhain, Mill Plus) Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing Proven work history in the medical device industry and familiarity with GMP practices Basic knowledge of UG CAD/CAM and Lean manufacturing principles Proficiency in software systems such as ADAPTIV, JDE Oneworld, Seiki Systems, and NX What We're Looking For A proactive, enthusiastic team player Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset Priven work history working in cleanroom environments Commitment to continuous improvement and high standards of quality
