Sapiens UK is seeking a VP of Business Unit for our Life & Pensions Division, based in Cardiff. The role involves becoming a trusted advisor and strategic partner, driving innovative solutions, and empowering clients to achieve their business goals.
The successful candidate will work closely with customers to understand their business objectives and priorities, using this knowledge to propose solutions that improve efficiency, competitiveness, streamline processes, and reduce expenses.
Key responsibilities include understanding the capabilities within the Sapiens portfolio, articulating the value of solutions, differentiating capabilities, and developing effective client value propositions to maximize Sapiens’s value. The role holds overall responsibility for all Sapiens delivery to customers, ensuring high quality, timeliness, budget adherence, and customer satisfaction.
Business Focus
* Drive growth within the account.
* Manage and improve the P&L.
* Build long-term customer relationships.
* Leverage customer pain points into opportunities for value creation.
* Collaborate with Sales to drive the "Land & Expand" strategy and identify cross-selling opportunities.
* Manage end-to-end upsell processes with sales support.
* Develop and execute the account’s strategy with sales.
Execution Focus
* Ensure high-quality delivery according to project plans.
* Meet financial targets and contractual obligations.
* Assess risks and implement mitigations.
* Promote collaboration and teamwork internally.
* Handle escalation points related to delivery processes.
* Act as a customer advocate within Sapiens, fostering a customer-focused culture.
Key Requirements
* 15+ years of management experience in a global enterprise software solutions company, with staff and budget responsibilities.
* Proven experience in:
o Leading international clients and teams through complex software solution delivery on large-scale projects (> $30M).
o Managing multiple complex projects, priorities, and deadlines successfully.
o Growing business within existing customer accounts, both hands-on and through team leadership.
* Experience in hiring, mentoring, coaching, and developing high-performing, globally dispersed teams.
* Knowledge of Life & Pensions software solutions is an advantage.
* Excellent client relationship management skills, capable of serving as a trusted advisor to C-level executives.
* Entrepreneurial mindset, adaptable to a fast-paced environment, with strong problem-solving skills.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
* Willingness to travel extensively within the territory.
