Are you looking for an exciting new challenge? This is an exciting opportunity to work within the Housing Options Team.
You would be responsible for the efficient and effective management and supervision of officers within the Housing Options Team. Ensure that the service is delivered within the Council’s framework of quality standards, performance targets, budgetary control and legislative requirements.
Support the Assistant Director, Head of Service as part of the service team, in delivering the corporate vision, values and strategic priorities of the Council. Act as advisor to the Assistant Director, Head of Service elected members and senior management on the service.
Work in collaboration with other services, and senior leadership team to ensure that services are joined up appropriately and are aligned to the achievement of the Council’s aims and objectives.
You will be required to ensure the service delivers comprehensive advice, homeless prevention activities and initiatives to residents across a wide range of housing issues across all tenures – in line with guidance and statutory requirements.
You will ensure the service works proactively to deliver a range of data informed interventions to prevent homelessness and tackle entrenched issues.
An Enhanced check will be undertaken with the Disclosure and Barring Service to ensure that the successful candidate has no relevant convictions.
