Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to join the Psychosis team and community clozapine clinic as a split post within the North Lincolnshire area. The Psychosis Team includes four pathways: Assertive Outreach, Psychosis, Early Intervention in Psychosis, and At Risk Mental State. The postholder will be required to have a strong knowledge of physical health monitoring and medicines, particularly antipsychotics and clozapine, with an emphasis on parity of esteem and monitoring side effects. The Trust supports a robust appraisal and supervision structure and encourages continual professional development. Working hours are Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (some flexibility required), with travel across a large geographical area to deliver interventions in a timely manner.
We are seeking a highly motivated Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) to join our team as a Band 6 Community Mental Health Nurse. The successful candidate will provide high quality nursing care, assessment and treatment, and will work collaboratively with other agencies while also able to work independently.
Responsibilities
* Provide a comprehensive Community Mental Health Nursing Service across a range of clients experiencing mental ill health within the psychosis pathway.
* Deliver the service in collaboration with representatives from other agencies; work independently and with partner agencies as required.
* Utilise post-registration RMN experience in both inpatient and community settings as part of routine practice.
* Apply strong knowledge of physical health monitoring, side-effect monitoring, and medicines management (including antipsychotics and clozapine) with emphasis on parity of esteem.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Essential: Post-registration experience as an RMN (inpatient and/or community settings).
* Experience working with individuals with mental health problems, particularly psychosis; ability to provide physical health expertise and monitoring of outcomes.
* Strong knowledge of medicines, especially antipsychotics and clozapine, and their contraindications with other medicines.
