Job Purpose As a Lead Front-End Developer, you bring deep expertise in modern front-end technologies and a strong commitment to building high-quality digital experiences. You've moved beyond junior-level tasks and now play a key leadership role in shaping and maintaining the quality of our front-end codebase. You take ownership of our internal front-end development and collaborate seamlessly with our external development partners. Your insights and contributions influence our technical direction, set standards for engineering excellence, and help ensure that we’re delivering performant, user-friendly, and accessible web applications. With a curious and proactive mindset, you constantly seek opportunities to improve how things work. You write clean, reliable code and are comfortable challenging conventions when it leads to better outcomes. A natural collaborator, you thrive in open, feedback-rich environments and bring clarity to technical discussions with your strong communication skills. While detail-oriented, you never lose sight of the bigger picture. You are also an excellent communicator who can explain technical challenges clearly. Skills & Experience 3 years of front-end development experience, ideally within e-commerce or retail environments. Skilled in working with Content Management Systems (CMS). Experience using tag management tools (e.g. Google Tag Manager). Familiarity with backend technologies such as Node.js, Python, or Java. Responsibilities Lead front-end development efforts with a focus on scalability, performance, and maintainability. Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to external partners, ensuring our standards are consistently met. Partner with the DevOps Manager and cross-functional teams to help define and deliver the development roadmap. Continuously optimise performance, usability, and SEO to improve the overall user experience. Apply best practices in software engineering, championing maintainable and efficient code.
