Job Description
BASIC JOB FUNCTIONS (Brief Summary):
Purpose: Efficient and effective management of planning and inventory synchronising activities inclusive of:
· Management of inventory to fulfill demand requirements.
· Management of inventory of questionable value (IQV)
· Supply planning & synchronisation
· Production planning & scheduling
§ Management of inventory to fulfill demand requirements:
o Ensure on-time and in full quality products are supplied to customers.
o Manage stocks in alignment with business targets and customer requirements.
o Review replenishment strategies and the levels to be maintained (safety stock, re-order points, etc.) from time to time to ensure it is relevant and aligned to achieving the business targets.
§ Management of inventory of questionable value (IQV):
o Ensure inventory holding contributes to cash flow and impacts supply to customers.
o Monitor and manage inventory in alignment with the IQV process, ensuring that stock write-offs are mitigated wherever possible.
o Ensure that stock counts are performed timeously and as per the frequency specified in company procedures.
o Support as co-SME, Store-to-Ship within the ERP system.
o Review and apply replenishment strategies and levels.
§ Supply Planning & Synchronisation:
o Co-ordinate routine S&OP meetings and relevant discussions with stakeholders
o Running of MRP and communications with procurement
o Communicating stock availability for future orders with sales execution
§ Production Planning & Scheduling
o Responsible for maintaining, communicating, and tracking a detailed production plan/schedule.
o Work with production to publish a detailed production plan that translates all business requirements into a supply plan to meet customer requirements.
o SME support for Plan-to-Produce activities of ERP system.
§ Effective Leadership and Management
o Mentor, Lead, and manage staff to ensure inter and intra-department cohesion and teamwork, a culture of performance to set standards and compliance to GMP, SHE, and good corporate governance.
o Ensure KPI are set for all employees and their performance is assessed according to these each year.
o Ensure your teams are settled with a low attrition rate and absenteeism.
o Ensure that all staff is trained and competent in all related departmental SOP's and tasks.
o Ensure management and key staff are available to service the different time zones of customers and that T&A is effectively managed.
o Manage employee performance to company standards and behaviour in line with company values.
o Develop staff under direct control.
o Recruit staff as and when operationally required.
§ GMP
o Planning and inventory comply with GMP requirements as outlined by relevant Company SOP's and written instructions.
o Ensure no critical adverse GMP issues are identified during internal/external audits.
o Close out all GMP/Quality audit CAPA in line with commitments made in the CAPA program.
§ SHE Management and Compliance
o Ensure all legal requirements and activities, inspections, and reports required in the FCC SHE management system are complied with.
o Implement and close out CAPA for all adverse SHE audits findings in a timely manner.
o Ensure that incidents are properly investigated, corrected, and mitigated from recurrence.
o Carry out any duty or requirement imposed on the company by the OHS Act and in accordance with your specific SHE appointment.
o Report any unsafe or unhealthy situations to the SHE representative or Line Manager.
o Report any incident to the SHE representative or Line Manager which may affect your health or cause injury.
o Ensure all sections within the department maintain compliance with company OHSE standards.

Job Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
1. Minimum Educational requirement is a Degree in Supply Chain or Business Administration or BCOM or similar
2. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Supply Chain and/or Planning
3. Experience in Planning and/or inventory management in B2B environment
4. Experience in operations would be advantageous.
