Overview
The Priory Learning Trust is a group of schools that aim to provide a great education for every child. We are forming the Pathway Trust, comprising several primary and secondary schools across Somerset and surrounding areas.
Responsibilities
* Act as the vital link between home and school by providing targeted advice, undertaking Early Help Assessments, and conducting home visits.
* Lead "Team around the Child" meetings and collaborate with external services, local authorities, and the Education Attendance Service to design, implement, and monitor family action plans.
* Design and run parental support courses, manage transition programmes for feeder schools, and promote pastoral services through local community engagement.
* Lead Early Help Assessments, facilitate multi‑agency support, and deliver impactful support to families to enable them to access education successfully.
Qualifications
* Educated to GCSE level (Grade C/4+ in Maths and English) with strong ICT skills (Microsoft and Google Suite). A counselling qualification or experience with student databases such as SIMS is a plus.
* Excellent communication skills, able to build sensitive relationships with complex families, handle emotionally challenging situations with tact, and maintain strict confidentiality.
* Fully committed to child protection and safeguarding practices, with organisational skills to work reliably in a team and collaborate with external agencies.
