Job Description:
We are currently seeking a reliable and diligent cleaner to support short-term temporary placements within care homes in the Taunton area. This role are essential in helping maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic environment for residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cleaning communal areas such as lounges, corridors, restrooms, and dining rooms
2. Sanitising frequently touched surfaces and high-traffic areas
3. Deep cleaning of resident rooms and shared spaces as required
4. Handling waste in accordance with infection control procedures
5. Ensuring compliance with health & safety and care home hygiene standards
6. Supporting laundry or basic housekeeping duties when needed
Requirements:
7. Previous cleaning experience, ideally in healthcare or care settings
8. Understanding of infection prevention and control (IPC) best practices
9. Strong attention to detail and ability to work to high cleanliness standards
10. Friendly, respectful, and professional attitude, especially around vulnerable individuals
11. Able to work independently and follow instruction
12. Enhanced DBS is required (we can support you in obtaining one if needed)
13. Full UK driving licence is a bonus but not essential
