Job Title: Software Engineer (Hold SC Clearance, or be eligible)
Location: Newcastle-Upon-Tyne (2 to 3 days in-office attendance per week)
Contract Length: 9 months
Role Overview:
We are seeking experienced Software Engineers to join our team, focusing on live service delivery within a collaborative environment. This role is suited for both senior and mid-level candidates with strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript, as well as proficiency in React and AWS, including experience with CDK. Familiarity with serverless technologies is essential, and knowledge of RPA using UiPath is a bonus, though not mandatory.
You will be involved in creating solutions that support an extensive live service estate, currently managing over 80 solutions across different teams. It is crucial that you possess a solid understanding of the technology to contribute effectively to our initiatives. You will be expected to engage in rapid problem-solving, particularly during incidents that may arise, and will play a vital role in ensuring seamless deployments into production alongside our DevOps team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain applications using Node.js, TypeScript, React, and AWS.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver high-quality, maintainable solutions.
- Participate in incident response and problem-solving during critical situations.
- Work closely with the DevOps team to ensure smooth deployment processes.
- Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to enhance service offerings.
Requirements:
- Strong expertise in Node.js and TypeScript.
- Proficiency in React and AWS (experience with CDK is preferred).
- Familiarity with serverless technologies.
- Knowledge of RPA using UiPath is a plus (not mandatory).
- Hold or be eligible for SC clearance due to the nature of the work involving production data.
