The Connexin Live
Connexin Live is a state-of-the-art music and events complex with a capacity of up to 4,000 people. The venue hosts concerts and live events and features an array of bars, lounges, premium seating, and hospitality suites including the Connexin Lounge.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in delivering the technical and production aspects of events at the venue. This includes supporting technical delivery, managing venue turnarounds, and providing reactive maintenance during events. The candidate will supervise the house crew during turnarounds, ensuring high service standards.
You will be responsible for:
* The technical delivery of events in the main auditorium and associated breakout spaces.
* Supporting events, load-in/load-out activities, acting as event engineer including installing temporary power, operating sound and lighting systems, and reactive maintenance during events.
* Advancing events at Connexin Live, liaising with promoters, tour managers, and event organizers.
* Assisting the senior technician with staff training and maintaining relevant risk assessments and safe systems of work in line with health and safety legislation.
* Ensuring the use of PPE and promoting a positive health and safety culture in line with ASM Global policies.
Skills and Qualifications:
* Experience in an events environment, preferably in a multi-purpose venue.
* Ability to work independently, troubleshoot, and repair technical issues.
* Knowledge of health and safety considerations in production and stage work.
* Experience maintaining technical equipment proactively and reactively.
* Proficiency in IT, including MS Office.
* Passion for service delivery and leading by example.
* Understanding of statutory requirements and electrical safety relevant to live events.
Desirable:
* Experience with AutoCAD, DANTE audio networks, DMX, Art-Net, sACN, and counterbalance forklift training.
* Knowledge of BS7909 electrical standards and willingness to undertake further training.
Additional Points:
Role requires working weekends, evenings, and holidays, with physical tasks involved. There may be opportunities to work at other ASM venues.
