Finance & Operations Officer
* Annual Salary: £26,750 pro rata
* Location: Cumbria
* Job Type: 12 month FTC, Full tme/Part-time (30-37 hours per week)
* Hybrid Working Option Available
We are seeking an experienced Finance & Operations Officer to join my clients team on a 12-month FTC. This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in managing a variety of tasks and plays a crucial role in maintaining smooth operations within an established organisation.
Day-to-day of the role:
* Manage bookkeeping, payment processing, and financial transactions including accounts payable, receivable, expenses, and payroll.
* Reconcile accounts on Xero, prepare journals, enter expenditure, and prepare invoice payments.
* Prepare and submit VAT returns.
* Maintain HR records, support onboarding processes, and ensure internal procedures are followed.
* Act as the first point of contact for external partners such as IT providers.
* Support general office administration, procurement, facilities, and wider operational tasks.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
* AAT Level 3 or equivalent (Level 4 desirable).
* At least 2 years’ experience in a finance or operations role with strong bookkeeping skills.
* Proficiency in using Xero or similar accounting software.
* Strong communication, accuracy, and organisational skills.
