Learning and Development (L&D) is a key enabler of our strategy as an Audit Stream and critical to our success. It supports our ability to attract, develop, and retain talented people who take pride in their work and deliver for our business. Effective L&D underpins quality and productivity by helping our people develop the necessary knowledge and skills to perform their work and reach their personal and professional potential.
Effective L&D requires specialist resources who partner with the Audit Stream to identify training needs and respond appropriately. This involves careful planning, project management, critical thinking, a commercial mindset, and an understanding of regulatory requirements. We also focus on the latest innovations, tools, and technologies to support tailored, relevant, and timely development.
We are excited to offer this opportunity for a talented, high-performing, and ambitious individual to join our Audit Stream L&D team as a Senior Design Consultant. You will support the development of our new curriculum using the latest learning innovations and technology. This role suits those with instructional design experience or a technology background looking to leverage their skills in learning.
This position reports directly to the Innovation and Technology team leader and is part of our Learning Development team, led by the Development and Monitoring Lead (DAM).
The Learning Development team designs and curates content for the Audit programme, aiming to develop impactful, innovative solutions that meet learner needs and deliver business outcomes.
The Innovation and Technology team supports the design process by introducing the latest thinking, technology, and tools to enhance our L&D solutions. Activities include creating digital learning, video editing, adapting in-person learning for remote access, and troubleshooting design challenges.
Your responsibilities include:
* Supporting the design and development of programmatic content using the latest learning design theories, tools, and technology.
* Building and maintaining relationships with content SMEs and other stakeholders.
* Designing, curating, and creating content for the Audit curriculum in collaboration with the authoring team.
* Coaching team members on tools, technology, and instructional design principles.
* Working with Lead Authors and Design Secondees to develop content that leverages the best tools and design thinking.
* Introducing innovative solutions and maintaining engaging digital content using tools like Articulate Storyline, Rise, and Adobe Creative Cloud.
Required skills and experience:
* Background in program development, content design, or related fields.
* Experience in converting face-to-face learning to digital formats.
* Ability to translate learning needs into objectives and outcomes.
* Experience with video production and editing, ideally with Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, or similar.
* Experience creating engaging eLearning content with Articulate tools is preferred.
* Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud or similar.
* Strong attention to detail and understanding of branding and design parameters.
* Excellent written communication skills and ability to present technical concepts engagingly.
* Strong project management skills and ability to manage own workload.
